Mi'kmaq Land Defender Annie Clair is facing charges for protesting against Texan oil company SWN, which was attempting to do fracking exploration in her community, Elsipogtog First Nation. Her days in court will be April 20th and 21st.

On April 12th, we are holding a silent auction at the Mi'kmaq Native Friendship Centre to raise money for Annie's legal fees. The event will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, with food, poetry and a special talk from Annie Clair.
We are asking everyone in the community to come and share your support for Annie.
Suggested donation $10-$20, but no-one turned away for lack of funds. Please come and bring your friends!
