New Dawn's Films for Change - Cape Breton and Ashlee Cunsolo Willoxinvite you to join the People's Climate Forum on September 21st from 12:00PM - 4:00PM at the New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation.
On September 21st hundreds of thousands of people are gathering in New York City for the largest climate march in history. To mark this important day in Cape Breton the People's Climate Forum will bring people together in dialogue and collaboration to talk about climate change and how we can can begin building a stronger, healthier, and happier Cape Breton Island for all!
The event will feature the Cape Breton premiere of a new documentary film, Lament for the Land (which weaves together the voices and wisdom of Labrador Inuit to tell a powerful story of change, loss, and hope in the context of rapid climate change in the North). There will also be great music, food, conversation, and children's activities.
