This Oscar-nominated award-winning animated film opens in 1948 Cuba and follows Chico, a young piano player with big dreams, and Rita, a beautiful singer with an extraordinary voice. From Havana to New York, Paris, Hollywood and Las Vegas, two passionate individuals battle impossible odds to unite in music and love. Chico & Rita will encourage you to reflect on the impact of immigration on music and culture.

This film is presented in Spanish (with English subtitles) and English. Rated R: contains sexual content and graphic violence. Presented in partnership with Jazz East and the Prismatic festival as part of the Atlantic Film Festival.  Admission is first come, first served.
