» More information

We are holding a benefit concert featuring Jennah Barry on Feb. 21 in our barn. This concert is in support of the Backlands Coalition, whose mission is "to ensure no loss of wildlife habitat in the [Halifax] Backlands and to preserve them for natural, historical, cultural, conservation, educational, recreational and common use."

This promises to be a wonderful evening of live, original music. Jennah Barry is a very gifted singer/songwriter from the Mahone Bay area and we are honoured that she is willing to play for us in our barn.

For concert details and to purchase your tickets, please follow this link:

(Click on Jennah's photo at the above link to check out her lovely song "Slow Dance". It'll warm your heart on this cold winter day.)

To make things easy (for both concert attendees and organizers), we are encouraging payment for tickets by credit card through PayPal at the above link. However, you may also pay by cheque or cash in advance of the concert. Please note that seating is limited in our barn and tickets are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

One last point: a few people have been curious about our barn and some are wondering if it is heated. Yes, it is indeed well heated and insulated :), and this Herald article offers quite a good description of our barn:

We look forward to seeing you at the concert!
