Defend Our Climate, Defend Our Communities

12:00pm
- 3:00pm
Saturday November 16 2013

Venue: Seaport Market to Province House
Address: 1215 Marginal Rd

There will be actions happening in communities across Canada to show a united wall of opposition to pipelines, reckless tar sands expansion & runaway climate change.

We will convene by the Seaport Market at noon (at the open space in front of the statue of Samuel Cunard on the North side of the building). We will march in a procession to Province House (1726 Hollis St Halifax) along the storm surge line that the latest climate change report has projected for the year 2100.

Please come wearing a rain hat, rain boots, a life jacket, etc. Blue clear ponchos will be provided to everyone !

Speakers confirmed to date:

*Prof. Thomas Duck, Department of Physics and Atmospheric Science, Dalhousie University *Catherine Abreu, Energy Coordinator, EAC

All welcome. Please invite your friends!

More from DefendourClimate.ca:

Over the coming months, Canadian governments will make decisions about tar sands pipelines that could push the world toward runaway climate change and permanently damage our communities.

Now, in this crucial moment, we need to show our governments that opposition to pipelines, reckless tar sands expansion and runaway climate change is growing in communities across the country.
