On February 27th, 2015, over 150 people marched down Gottingen Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia to protest the dangerous and icy state of many of Halifax's sidewalks.
Advocates drew attention to how this situation impacts the lives of those who have disabilities and accessibility problems, as well as ordinary people who have to brave dangerous and slippery conditions simply to go about their daily tasks and routines. Lead by rally organizer, Kaleigh Trace, the crowd demanded more action from municipal authorities to improve conditions for Haligonians, one and all.
