Cole Harbour Place workers held an information picket outside premier Darrell Dexter's constituency office on Cole Harbour Rd. Friday morning. The workers have been on strike for five weeks in protest against wages  workers say are below the poverty line. 

Many workers make $10.37 an hour, according to Nova Scotia Public and Private Employees Union president John Hanrahan, who represents the workers. This is substantially less than workers at similar, privately run facilities, Hanrahan told the Media Co-op in May. 

Friday morning's picket focused on the workers' demands for anti-scab legislation in Nova Scotia. Replacement workers have been on the job at Cole Harbour Place since the job action began.
