NSPIRG BOARD NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS:

It’s that exciting time of year again when the faces of NSPIRG are in transition. What will PIRG look like next year? What new fast friendships and political analyses will be formed on the PIRG couch?

Are you interested in being one of those potential board members? Do you have a friend who you think would be a great part of PIRG? Even if you aren’t yet very involved becoming a board member is a great way to get in on what’s going on, and you’ll have a friendly team of other board members to introduce you to the world of PIRG. There are 7 board positions for Dalhousie students and 3 board positions for community members. There will be an Info session held March 4th for those on the fence about running for the Board. Nomination packages are available for pick up in the NSPIRG office, room 314 of the Dal Student Union Building. If you can’t make it during office hours email me and I’ll get you a Nomination form and answer any questions: electNSPIRG@gmail.com.

The Deadline for receiving nomination packages has been extended to Tuesday March 15th at 5pm. However, I will be advertising the elections before that point, and posting candidate profiles as they come in. So the sooner you get it in the more exposure you will get!

Voting will take place on March 28th and 29th. There will be a polling station in the Killam atrium both days, and one on Sexton Campus on the 28th and on Carleton campus the 29th, locations TBD. Mark your calendars so you don’t forget to vote!
