A rally sponsored by the Palestinian Solidarity Society, Canadians, Arabs and Jews for a Just Peace in the Middle East, the Halifax Peace Coalition, the Nova Scotia Public Interest Reasearch Group, and the Student Coalition against War attracted approximately 200 people to Victoria Park in Halifax on 10 January 2009. The rally was held to protest Israeli Crimes against humanity in Gaza, to stop the silence of Western governments, to oppose the Harper government's complicity, and to end the occupation of Palestine.
