Dal Women's Centre recruiting new board members
an open call-out for students and community members
Do you want to look like those women? Sexy women doing smart and sassy things? Things like eating vegan food and taking notes about stuff?
Yeah you do. You want to be on the Dal Women’s Centre board.
The Dalhousie Women’s Centre is currently recruiting for new board members. There are a number of important decisions to be made regarding staffing and programming, and we want to have representatives from all corners of the community.
The Board members will be elected at our General Meeting (GM) coming up on Wednesday March 30th (details below!). The Board will determine the direction of the Centre over the next year and will work towards developing a sustainable management structure and practical, thorough policy.
Requirements for Candidacy:
Identify as a woman
Membership at the DWC
(Community members are DWC Members also—you simply need to have paid the $2 opt-in fee, and fill out a quick form)
Attendance at biweekly meetings
Enthusiasm!
The Dalhousie Women’s Centre supports all women and strives to maintain equitable, anti-oppressive structures. Trans- women, queer women, racialized women, women with disAbilities, women who identify as working class, un(der)employed women, Indigenous women and newcomers are encouraged to apply.

Send an email to dwc@dal.ca including your resume and up to date contact information!
Begin to gather nomination signatures from Members
As many as possible should be from Active Members, or Volunteers
Come to the GM prepared to explain to the Membership why you think you are a wonderful candidate for the Board!
The GM will take place on Wednesday, March 30 · 7:00pm – 9:00pm. The location is to be determined. Whether or not you decide to run, we would love to see you at the meeting and hear your opinion! Spread the word!
