Film screening and discussion on the Lower Churchill Hydroelectric Project & Maritime Link – Wolfville and Halifax

You are invited to a screening of the film Labrador’s Treasure, Newfoundland’s Secret about the ecological and cultural significance of the Churchill (Grand) River in Labrador and the impacts of the past and impending hydropower development. This will be followed by a Q&A and open discussion related to the Lower Churchill Hydroelectric Project & Maritime Link In attendance will be Roberta Benefiel from the Grand Riverkeepers Labrador Inc., a community group fighting to preserve and protect the Lower Churchill River.
