Coalition Against Austerity

6:00pm
- 8:30pm
Mercredi Avril 22 2015

Address: 3700 Kempt Road, upstairs

» More information

The Canadian Federation of Students-Nova Scotia and Halifax-Dartmouth & District Labour Council invites anyone opposed to the Liberals' austerity budget to take part in planning actions against the budget.

The Liberals budget:
- Freezes health care spending and privatizes home care
- Eliminates the Film Tax Credit
- Cuts funding to the Department of Environment
- Deregulates tuition fees
- Freezes social assistance rates
- Gives away millions more in corporate welfare
- And more

We encourage the city's social movements to work with us against the austerity agenda. Trade unionists, women, students, environmentalists, anti-racist activists, anti-poverty advocates, artists, disability activists, the Queer/LGBT community, and anyone else who is opposed to the austerity agenda.

When: Wednesday, April 22, 6:00 pm
Where: 3700 Kempt Rd (Upstairs)

The session will focus on coming up with actions we can all take to oppose the budget and the austerity agenda.
