Richard Wagamese, from the Wabaseemoong First Nation in Northwestern Ontario, now lives in Kamloops, BC. He was 22 years old when his Ojibway elders declared that he had “stories in the curls of his fingers.” He has published seven novels, five non-fiction titles, and one poetry collection. His sixth novel, Indian Horse, was the People’s Choice Award in the 2013 CBC Canada Reads competition.
