Halifax/Dartmouth Town Hall on Federal Issues

The Halifax-Dartmouth & District Labour Council and the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour are hosting a town hall meeting for local unions, stewards and activists about the coming 2015 federal election.

All labour activists know the Harper Conservatives have been constantly attacking workers' rights and the social programmes we rely on everyday.

As we begin to prepare for the coming federal election we want to hear from union members and activists across the region about the top issues you are facing.  From health care to employment insurance, from the right-to-strike to issues at the bargaining table, we want to make sure folks know what is going on and get feedback on which issues should be part of Labour's campaign.  The town hall will be discussion based and everyone is encouraged to participate.

The Halifax/Dartmouth town hall will be held on Tuesday, October 14th from 6 pm to 8 pm, at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax

All union members, stewards, activists, and local leaders are encouraged to attend.  We also encourage our social movement allies to send representatives.  Light refreshments will be served.
