The June training session is an opportunity to build your capacity for outreach, connect with other groups and members in your region around similar work and interests, and find out more about the current Branch programs and major campaigns. Participants are welcome to come for all or part of the day as their interest and schedule allows. During each session, there will be opportunity to share your experiences and challenges to date, find out about the opportunities and resources available, and make some concrete plans.
Limited travel subsidies are available and must be requested in advance. Please RSVP to Kim Irving Cahill at kcahill@amnesty.ca.
Tentative Schedule:
Morning: Working with youth and students
Early afternoon: "Stop Torture" campaign
Remainder of afternoon: Community initiatives (Book Club, AmnesTEA, Write for Rights, and other programs)
Optional: Dinner at a local restaurant
