Currently a review process is being undertaken, convened by Dr. Wheeler of Cape Breton University. The results of this process will be made public in early June, and inform a policy decision to be made by the provincial government.
Help to send the message to the Nova Scotia government that no matter what the Wheeler review says, the risk that fracking poses to our communities is far too great.
On May 10, join communities across Canada who are stepping up to defend communities from pipelines, dirty energy projects, and runaway climate change.
----
The day of action will begin with a rally in Parade Square, where community partners will be present to share information and ways to get involved.
After the rally, several teams will be dispersing across the city to erect fake fracking rigs. This is to show how silly fracking is - no matter whose backyard it's in.
We hope to see you all there!
