Venue: Alumni Hall at the University of King’s College

The 2013 Marshall McLuhan Fellow, Eileen Mangubat, will deliver a public lecture on “Journalism in time of Haiyan: The evolving role of media in covering disasters”. The lecture takes place on Monday, 24 February 2014, 7.00 PM, in Alumni Hall at the University of King’s College. We would appreciate your help in spreading the word.

Ms Mangubat is the publisher and acting-editor-in-chief of Cebu Daily News. The city of Cebu was badly hit by Typhoon Haiyan in November 2013. Ms Mangubat will talk about how the media there covered—and are continuing to cover—the story.
