The Dalhousie Aboriginal Health Interest Group, in partnership with the Aboriginal Health Sciences Initiative, is excited to welcome you to their first big event of the year, a film screening and panel discussion. They will be showing “Seeing Netukulimk”, a Mi’kmaq documentary film exploring Aboriginal treaty rights. Following the film screening (22 minutes), a panel discussion will be hosted concerning Aboriginal rights and the connection to the social determinants of health. The panel will include representatives from Aboriginal communities, as well as from an advocacy research perspective. The film producer, Dr. Martha Steigman, will also join to comment on the film making process.
