The Housing Trust of Nova Scotia is a non-profit housing society that is concerned about the ability of the “Working Poor” to rent good quality apartments at a reasonable price. This growing class of tenants typically has a job and is working to support their family, however due to the rising cost of rental accommodation is having a hard time paying all of their bills.

The Housing Trust has purchased the former MET Store and the former Diamonds Bar site (Gottingen and Prince William) and has prepared redevelopment plans for each property. Current plans include 244 apartment units between the two buildings, with 122 of them allocated as affordable housing, while the other 122 will be market rate apartments.

Come on out and see what we are doing.
