A panel discussion on what universities, students and faculty are going through, and how different levels of government are influencing things.
January 24th, 6pm, Room 224 of the Dalhousie Student Union Building.
-Are students getting as much as they could from Nova Scotian universities?
-How are regular funding cuts to universities changing the way they operate, and how we learn from them?
-How are students affected by ever-increasing debtloads to pay for school in a diminishing job market?
-Is it realistic, acceptable, or even necessary for tuition to rise so much every year? How can fees and debt be reduced? What can students and faculty do to change things?
These questions and more will be discussed in The State of Education in Nova Scotia.
Speakers will include:
Chris Parsons - Assistant Professor, University of King's College
Chris Ferns - MSVU, President of Association of Nova Scotia University Teachers
