THE CLOCK IS TICKING ON 92 NS LIGHTHOUSES!!
Concerned communities have until June 1, 2013 to submit a proposal to Fisheries and Oceans Canada to acquire and protect their local lighthouse. If you, or someone you know, want to form a community group to save your lighthouse, the Nova Scotia Lighthouse Preservation Society is holding a workshop to help you get started.
Sept. 28, 2012, 7 p.m. Meet and Greet at Lunenburg Firehall.
Guest speaker Bob Trapani, Executive Director of the American Lighthouse Foundation.
Open to the public - no admission fee.

Sept. 29, 2012 - The NSLPS is holding a one-day workshop at the Lunenburg Firehall.
8:30 a.m. - A continental breakfast will be available before the program
starts at 9:15 a.m.
Small business consultant David Warner, has planned a morning session to outline and present the business plan that is critical to any community proposal. In the afternoon, insurance needs will be discussed along with success stories of community group lighthouse owners.
A pre-registration fee of $20 will include breakfast, lunch, and two healthy snacks for each participant.
