Moncada Day or Reveolution Day is the annual Cuban holiday which commemorates the attack on the Moncada military barracks by an armed group of pro-democracy activists led by Fidel Castro which began the national uprising against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.For the fifth consecutive year Nova Scotia Cuba Association is organizing a celebration of Moncada Day in Halifax.
