Premiers of Canada: Don't be Puppets, Stand Up to Stephen Harper! Protect Public Health Care!

On July 25th, premiers of every province will be arriving in Halifax for the three-day Council of the Federation meetings. They will be discussing public health care over the next ten years. There is an elephant in the room: the Harper conservatives are planning to cut $31 billion dollars from public health care.

The Nova Scotia Citizen's Health Care Network and the Council of Canadians are joining forces with Puppets Et Cetera, a local street theatre troupe, for a Premier's Puppet Parade. Large puppets of each premier will be carried by supporters of public health care, each on a string held by the puppet master, Stephen Harper. This colourful parade will send a clear message to the premiers that they need to stop Harper's cuts!
