Presented in recognition of Asian Heritage Month, this documentary uncovers stories from the last living survivors of the Chinese Head Tax and Exclusion Act, from Montreal to Vancouver. Considered to be suitable for those 14 years of age and older. Presented in English. In partnership with The Chinese Society of Nova Scotia.

 

Projection de film gratuite dans le cadre du programme Pleins feux sur la diversité : In the Shadow of Gold Mountain, mercredi le 9 mai à 19 h au Musée canadien de l’immigration du Quai 21, 1055, chemin Marginal, Halifax. Présenté en reconnaissance du Mois du patrimoine asiatique, ce documentaire révèle les histoires des derniers survivants de la Loi de l’immigration chinoise, de Montréal à Vancouver. Peut convenir à un public de 14 ans et plus. Présenté en anglais. En partenariat avec la Societé Chinoise de la Nouvelle-Écosse.
