Local Palestinian peace supporters will rally in Halifax at noon tomorrow (Tuesday, July 5) at Purdy's Wharf to support the Canadian Boat to Gaza.
The rally will feature a report from Miles Howe, a Halifax resident on the Canadian boat, the Tahrir. The Greek government has blocked the Tahrir and several other boats in the Freedom Flotilla II from sailing with its humanitarian aid and building supplies to the Gaza Strip. Gazans suffer daily from Israeli's illegal blockade and occupation.
Also speaking will be representatives from Canadians, Arabs and Jews for a Just Peace; Independent Jewish Voices; and the Canada Palestine Association.
