Bring jars of tap water, and rally against fracking in Nova Scotia

Earth Day - 1 pm to 2 pm

1:00pm
Friday April 22 2011

Venue: NS Legislature

Join citizens from across Nova Scotia to converge on the NS legislature on Earth Day, April 22, 2011, to call for a ban on fracking, and take part in an installation piece to highlight what is at risk!

"Fracking threatens air, water and quality of life," said Michale Jensen, a resident on the North Shore. "There is no better day than Earth Day to launch our demand for a ban."

Bring jars of water with you to remind ourselves and our representatives in the legislature what is at risk! The jars of water will be placed on the steps of the legislature -- there will be jars of water from around the province with a small label indicating where they were collected and the date.
