Ambulance Fees Letter Writing Event

3:00pm
- 7:00pm
Wednesday November 18 2015

Venue: Just Us Spring Garden Road

» More information
Have you been affected by ambulance fees?

We are asking the Nova Scotian government to eliminate ambulance fees. These fees make it so 1 in 4 people who live in Nova Scotia do not take an ambulance, even if they need it. People shouldn't have to think twice about whether or not they can afford to go to the hospital!

Have you ever had to pay an ambulance fee? Or have known someone who has received a bill in the mail? Share you experience! This event is a great way to let your MLA know the effects of these fees.

If you are from Nova Scotia and need to take an ambulance it's $170, from out of province it's $700, and from outside of Canada it is $1000.
The Nova Scotian government could put 7.6 million dollars into this service, and they could eliminate these fees making it accessible for everyone!

We will provide the materials to craft these letters, and will send them off to the Health Minister Leo Glavine for you! Come out, learn more about ambulance fees, and meet other people who are interested in this as well.

The Canadian Federation of Students and the Nova Scotia Health Coalition hope to see you there!

**This event is wheelchair accessible, and has all-gender washrooms. Please contact Katelyn at karmstrong@nshealthcoalition.ca if you have any other accessibility needs**
