Through a facilitated discussion and shared storytelling, we will encourage participants to link their personal experiences of mothering and childrearing to those of others, and to the patriarchal, capitalist, colonial society we live in. We will raise questions about the value and place of caring and domestic labour, and of children, in our society generally, as well as in revolutionary struggles. We hope participants will come away with insight into the exploitation and oppression that is part and parcel of mothering in our society, and with tangible strategies to make our movements inclusive to mothers and children.
