Join us for a training camp on how to take direct action against environmental degradation and climate chaos. Led by a team of Greenpeace trainers and local organizers, the camp will offer both a basic and advanced training on non-violent direct action, campaign strategy, and creative activism.

The camp is an opportunity to get together with like-minded community members who want to tackle environmental and social injustice together, and build a connected and powerful movement for climate justice in our region.

The camp will take place at the Deanery Project, a non-profit co-op focused on the environment, community, natural building and the arts.

When: Friday October 17th, 4pm to Sunday, October 19th, 6pm

Where: The Deanery Project, 37 Deanery Road, Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia (60km outside Halifax). Transportation from Halifax will be provided.

How much: $50 per person, or pay what you can. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

How to apply: Fill out this form!

Accommodation: There are limited indoor shared accommodations at the Deanery. Participants are encouraged to bring tents and sleeping bags, and dress for the weather. If you don’t have a sleeping bag please borrow one, or let us know if you need any bedding.

Food: Vegan/Vegetarian meals will be provided.

Participation: Participants are asked to attend the entire weekend, as the workshops build upon each other. If family responsibilities, childcare or any other barriers would prevent your full participation, please let us know in the registration form and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
