Lunch, Learn, Discuss - Housing First: Advantages, Challenges, Lessons Learned

Why: A small group with an interest in housing and homelessness issues in Halifax have been meeting over the last few months to share information and identify common concerns. At the last meeting it was decided a Lunch and Learn would be a good way to expand and establish a Community Housing and Homelessness Network in Halifax.

Panel Presenters:

Adsum for Women and Children

Metro Non Profit Housing Association

YWCA Wish Program

An individual with lived experience with homelessness and housing first

Others to be announced

Following the panel staff from drop-in programs and organizations working with people who are experiencing homelessness or are precariously housed will be invited to respond to the panel presentations and add their experience in supporting individuals attempting to find appropriate housing.

Registration is required to accommodate provision of a light lunch
