A group of students based out of Dalhousie University will be staging a protest and information picket to demonstrate solidarity with the thousands of people who’s rights are being violated by the Israeli military incursion into Palestinian territory following the kidnapping of three Israeli youths.
“I see this as a clear case of Israel collectively punishing Palestinian civilians for something they had no part in. Collective punishment is a war crime and what the Israeli military is doing right now is a violation of Palestinian human rights” said Amer Hussein, a member of Students Against Israeli Apartheid Dalhousie.
The rally and information picket will be happening today at 4:30pm outside of the public Gardens.
Students Against Israeli Apartheid Dalhousie has been working to help educate the public on issues related to Palestinian human rights since May. This will be their third major rally in as many months.
