» More information

Millions of people travel long distances in under-developed countries just to collect water for their families and their basic needs. On Saturday, March 29, 2014 the Halifax West Interact club will be hosting a Walk for Water event. Community members will walk 6km via the Powerlines trail with 6 litres of water on their back to empathize with people who travel long distances. In order to participate $20 can be paid or $40 can be fundraised. If you are registered ahead of time you will receive a free t-shirt and the event will be followed by a free BBQ at Halifax West High School. All funds will be donated to WASRAG (Water and Sanitation Rotary Action Groups)
