6:30pm Meet & Greet – Tea & Coffee

7:00pm – 9:00pm Movie Made In Dagenham

Women have been under attack ever since Harper was elected; funding for women's organizations have been cut and slashed,

budgets have eroded gains that were made, there is no indication that anything important to women will ever be addressed under this Government (no childcare strategy, no affordable housing strategy...). Women need to know what's going on and what's at stake.

The Halifax-Dartmouth & District Labour Council is hosting a movie event to remind women of the struggles that were behind us. Let's have an enjoyable evening and watch a wonderfully made movie and remind ourselves that we will NOT go backwards!

Info on Movie: Made In Dagenham

Set against the backdrop of the 1960s, Made In Dagenham is based on a true story about a group of spirited women who joined forces, took a stand for what was right, and in doing so, found their own inner strength

This event is co-sponsored by: NSGEU Local 77, NSGEU Women's Issues Committee, Women's Action Coalition, NS (WACNS)
