Town Hall Meeting on Services for military members, families, and veterans

6:30pm
- 8:30pm
Tuesday February 18 2014

Venue: Dartmouth Sportsplex
Address: 110 Wyse Road

How well do we care for our military members, families, and veterans?

How can we do better?

Join Dartmouth - Cole Harbour MP Robert Chisholm as he moderates a panel discussion to explore these issues, with special guest NDP Veterans critic Peter Stoffer.

What is the situation here in our community? Are there gaps in service that need to be filled? What's really going on?

People in our community are paying close attention to these issues and lately there have been plenty of reasons to be concerned, with 8 Veterans Affairs offices closed on January 31, 8 reported suicides in the past two month, stories of inadequate support for mental health issues and inadequate housing for military families, class-action lawsuits, and damning reports from the DND ombudsman.

Everyone is welcome. For more information, or if you are unable to attend but want to share your thoughts, please emailrobert.chisholm@parl.gc.ca
