Harsha Walia: Movements Undoing Border Imperialism

6:00pm
- 7:30pm
Wednesday November 27 2013

Venue: Dalhousie Student Union Building, room 303

Join us on Wednesday November 27 for two exciting events with feminist and anti-racist author and activist Harsha Walia. Harsha will be giving two talks: "Anti-oppressive Feminisms and Solidarities" and "Movements Undoing Border Imperialism." She will also be in town launching her new book _Undoing Border Imperialism_ (copies available for cash sale on site and at Bookmark on Spring Garden Road). In her second talk, Harsha draws on over a decade of experience in social movements to offer insights for activists and organizers on effective movement strategies, anti-oppressive leadership, and popular engagement to cultivate fierce, loving, and sustainable communities of resistance striving toward liberation.
