Special Halifax/Elsipogtog edition of SPEAK! this month. Kahsenniyo Wilson will be performing at SPEAK! on November 21, then SPEAK! is headed out to Elsipogtog. Come support on the 21st, 8:30, The Company House, 2202 Gottingen St.

Kahsenniyo Wilson is a Mohawk of the Wolf Clan from the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. She is one of the co-founders of Young Onkwehonwe United (Y.O.U.), a youth movement based out of Six Nations that is committed to creating positive opportunities for youth to heal and learn. Kahsenniyo uses her spoken word poetry as a way of provoking thought, healing, and teaching about Indigenous issues here on Turtle Island. Her strong militant performances have moved audiences across the province.
