The Nature Trust is working in partnership with Acadia University and an adjacent landowner to permanently protect 310 acres of coastal and wetland habitats in southwest Nova Scotia, significant for a diversity of birds and other wildlife, including endangered piping plovers. Celebrate its protection with us! This success marks the second property Acadia has protected with a Conservation Easement, following Bon Portage Island. The event will include a shorebird walk with Bird Studies Canada along the beach. Rain date: Sept 14. Event details to be announced, so stay tuned! Transportation from Halifax may be available. Please RSVP to Cristi at cristi@nsnt.ca or 425-5263.
