Join the Friends of McNabs Island Society for a Summer Island Tour of McNabs Island Provincial Park. Enjoy the rich history and natural beauty of McNabs Island through a guided history tour.
• Discover the colourful history of the island from the Mi’kmaq to “midway king” Bill Lynch
• Visit the island’s many historic sites including Victorian Gardens, pop bottle factory, and grounds of the historic Conrad and Lynch homes
• Learn more about the tragic story of the SS England, stricken with cholera and quarantined near McNabs in 1866
• Explore historic Fort Ives and Fort McNab and learn how the forts protected Halifax during wartime, and
• Beachcomb along the island’s many sandy beaches.
Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a lunch and drinking water.

NOTE: Tickets to this event are non-refundable.

In the event of heavy rain, the event will be rescheduled to a later date (TBA).

Capacity 27 persons.
A second trip will be added if necessary.
