Vigil for Rehtaeh Parsons

To commemorate her life and the person she was, to mourn her, and to speak out against rape. Please join together in Victoria Park on Thursday, April 11 at 7pm for a community vigil.
The family would like the community to celebrate her life and her strength. They send the message that they would like this vigil to focus not on anger but on healing and hope. We gather in the hope of supporting, respecting and loving each other in the spirit of Rehtaeh.
They also ask us to stand together against violence against women and bullying.
Remember: Suicide is preventable- and we must come together to ensure that the supports are there for our youth. We must learn to recognize the signs so that we can come together to prevent our youth from taking drastic measures to solve problems that- if we come together- we can ultimately address.
We will be celebrating her life with music and love.
