Racism in Perspective - Call for Submissions!

It's time for NSPIRG to produce a new publication to provoke thought
and action! As we revive our Rooting Out Racism campaign this summer, we are going to be producing the next phase of our "In Perspective" series: Racism in Perspective. While governments are moving away from using the term "racism" we invite you to call it as you see it, and to say it loud and clear. We are seeking an array of submissions to shed light on institutionalized racism in Nova Scotia, as well as on grander, global structures of inequality rooted in the concept of "race." We are looking for both non-fiction and fiction pieces; we encourage personal perspectives, essays, poetry, songs, comics, photos, drawings, and other artwork. Please get in touch if you have any questions or just to touch base with your ideas.

Email: angela@nspirg.org or call 494-6662.
Submission deadline is June 22nd, 2009 (early submissions are
encouraged and welcomed : ) Thanks for your interest!
