Protesting Against the Prorogue

Several hundred people gathered in front of Province House in Halifax on Saturday, January 23rd to protest the Conservative Party's proroguing of Parliament. All photos by Tony Tracy.

Speakers at the event included:

- Halifax-Dartmouth and District Labour Council President Kyle Buott

- NDP Candidate Gregor Ash, on behalf of Megan Leslie, MP (who was unable to attend in person).

- Former Nova Scotia NDP Leader (and former CUPE Atlantic Regional Director) Robert Chisholm, on behalf of Peter Stoffer, MP (who was unable to attend in person).

- The Raging Grannies

- Liberal MP Geoff Regan

- Liberal MP Mike Savage

- Council of Canadians Atlantic Regional Organizer Angela Giles
