Crime Time

by katiemck

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and everyone was out and about soaking up the sun. Everywhere you went, people were talking with one another; lingering on the streets and initiating conversations with their neighbours.

I was shocked when this paddy wagon rolled up and tried to book two young men for the truly unforgivable crime that is ... JAYWALKING! Four officers spent 20+ minutes running their names and scolding them for their poorly chosen method of crossing the street, less that 50 meters from their home. When this concerned passerby paused to ask the cops what was taking place, the dog walker was reprimanded for having a spiked dog collar and it was confiscated.

It is times like these that baffle me.
And it is crimes like these that rain on my parade.
