The last killed in New Brunswick was in Kent County, 1932. Since then we have had only tantalizing glimpses into the lives of cougars inhabiting our coast. In Canada, the eastern cougar was listed as endangered in 1978, but lost that classification in 1998 and was relabeled “data deficient.” This photo is of a western cougar in the Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
