(K'JIPUKTUK) HALIFAX -- About twenty people gathered in a steady drizzle at the Commons today to celebrate May 1st, International Workers' Day. The rally was organized by the Omnibus Nova Scotia May Day committee. Speakers representing the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, No Harbour for War, the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist Leninist) as well as individuals not aligned with any particular movement spoke about the need to fight Harper, and the long and proud tradition of May Day as a day of solidarity with workers everywhere.

I tried to show up for the march @ 2, but everyone had dispersed.
Glad some people showed and held down the fort, though. Good on y'all.
