KJIPUKTUK (Halifax) - With Nova Scotia premier Stephen McNeil snubbing the April 14th 'Meeting of the Premiers' in Quebec City, about 250 Nova Scotians took to the streets today demanding the provincial government get on board with addressing climate change. Under blue skies and temperatures that finally appeared to hover in the low-teens, the mood was festive and boisterous and drew activists from all walks of life and age groups. First Nations, labour activists, environmentalists, and those generally displeased with the provincial austerity-tinged budget released only days ago; all coalesced and danced through downtown Halifax to a rucous Samba-style beat.
