Making the Site Accessible

Disability and Accessibility

I'm attempting to sort out the best way to make the site accessible to as many people as possible. At the moment I'm mostly thinking about full description of the content of photos (not just a tagline describing the scene of the photo) and including transcripts for audio and video content.

I've spoken a bit with Dru about my concerns, but poking at the site over the last little bit, I'm not even sure of the best way to go forward with this.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

accessibility

I would think the key thing is to provide as many options for different senses / access points as possible. Which seems you're already thinking about - but if possible, I think it would be good to consult with some organizations / experts in the field too.
