Santa’s Stuck! No Presents! No Reindeer! And No Way to Call for Help!

Rally against Social Assistance cutbacks

12:30pm
- 1:30pm
Jeudi Décembre 17 2015

Venue: Victoria PArk

For most of us, Santa is, quite literally, one of the family. This year, with welfare rates frozen and especially with special needs cuts, Christmas promises to be harsher than ever. With little money for presents and without a transportation allowance (no reindeer) or a telephone allowance (no way to call for help) Santa is really stuck. Come to our rally at Victoria Park and hear low-income individuals talk about how much harder Christmas has become for people on Income Assistance.

This Rally is being organized by the Community Advocates Network, a group that unites people living on low-income and their allies in the fight to end poverty.

Rally Details:

Thursday December 17th, 2015 at 12:30 pm

Victoria Park, corner of Spring Garden Rd and South Park St., Halifax.
