In pursuit of fighting the Ebola crisis in West Africa, many concerned citizens in Nova Scotia originally from West Africa and other Canadians have organized a task force called Fight Ebola Nova Scotia (FENS). We believe by working together we can make a meaningful contribution.
The main objectives for FENS are as follows:
- To receive input and advice from the participants on how to acquire medical, protective equipment and supplies for infected persons and first responders;
- To identify fund raising activities to be donated to Doctors Without Borders Canada / Médecins Sans Frontières to be channelled in the Ebola funds;
- To create partnerships with institutions and/or individuals to help fight Ebola in West Africa; and
- To provide current information on the impacts that Ebola is having on people in West Africa and family members in Nova Scotia.
