Last Chance to Rally Against Bill 1 TODAY!!!

There is a very good chance that the Liberal government will pass Bill 1, legislation that will take away 24,000 health care workers’ right to choose their union and vote on a collective agreement, into law tomorrow.

This means, today is your last chance to show this government that health care workers deserve the right to vote. We are holding a rally from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Legislature today (Thursday, October 2nd) and you need to show up.

We realize that people are busy with work and personal commitments. But this Bill is going to have a very significant effect on your working lives. Premier McNeil and Minister Glavine are taking away your democratic right to vote on your union representation and you will forever be in the union you are assigned to. This legislation is unprecedented, and is the first of its kind in Canada. You need join us as we stand up for your rights.
