The Market: The Trade in Human Organs

Spring Film Series: Exploring Ethics through Film

7:00pm
- 9:00pm
Mardi Avril 29 2014

Venue: Spring Garden Memorial Public Library
Address: 5381 spring garden rd

"The Market delves into the world of human kidney trafficking, from the point of view of a Canadian woman who needs a kidney, an impoverished mother from an Indian slum, and the go-betweens that broker the deals. Filmmaker, Rama Rau, takes us in to the dark corners of the kidney trade, exploring the bioethics of transplant tourism, and the decisions people can live with when lives are at stake."
